Station Road
Garden Design Overview
Station Road
The Kitchen garden at Station Road, Broadway, draws inspiration from Sarah Raven’s Garden at Perch Hill Farm in Robertsbridge. It showcases a charming walled kitchen garden that exudes rustic elegance. The garden is nestled on a terrace, enclosed by hand-made brick walls. It features a harmonious blend of lawns and paths, creating a delightful sense of organisation.
At its heart stands a timber glass house, thoughtfully equipped with cold frames for year-round cultivation. The walls of the garden host fruiting espaliers, their branches climbing in an artful display, while a ribbed water feature urn is nestled among fragrant herbs, adding a touch of tranquility to the space.
To support biodiversity, framed perennial beds are designed to attract and nurture pollinator insects, contributing to the garden’s ecological balance. The garden’s entrances are graced by bespoke oak timber gates, setting the tone for the garden’s bespoke and traditional character, making it a distinctive and inviting place to grow plants.
